Focus on a Target Market

 Many online marketers spam their clients in hopes of making money online, but marketers that advertise through spamming methods are not following good Internet marketing principals that could best promote their products. One of the most common complaints that people have about the Internet is spam. For that exact reason most people will go out of their way to avoid anything that even looks like it might be spam.

Targeted email marketing is an important means of reaching people for internet marketers who are trying to make money online by promoting products and services to people that have expressed an interest in the products and services that they have to offer.

This is the right way to make product offers instead of spamming a hundred people and hoping that a couple of them like your product enough to look at your sales page.

It is true that by using targeted email marketing you will significantly decrease the amount of exposure you get, but this also means that you will reduce the amount of bad publicity you get as well. If you are sending email advertisements to people that are not interested in your merchandise they are going to think that your company is involved in spaming.

Even if you’re not a spammer, you won’t be able to change the way people think of you or your products. This can be a tough hurdle to get over once it is set in place.
