Everybody knows that you need targeted traffic for your web site, but targeted traffic isn’t enough. You need the kind of traffic for your web site that sticks. Your visitors need to stay on your site and look around for a while.

You see, the search engines don’t like to see visitors to your site just clicking in and leaving in a few seconds. They want to see your visitors taking in your  great content and looking around for more of the same.

The best way to attract traffic that is targeted to your web site is to promote the keywords that your targeted visitors would use to find your products or services. Don’t spread yourself too thin by trying to target too many keywords to start out. I would start out with 2 or 3 keywords or key phrases and build up to more are after I started ranking for the first ones.

There are a lot of strategies that you can use to generate targeted traffic for your website. So the strategies that you can use would include article marketing, classified advertising, paid and free advertising on related blogs and websites even building a mailing list works.

You can oyeahffer giveaway products with links to your sales pages, products and services. You can offer these giveaway items in trade for an action, such as going to the download page where there will be more information on your products and services for them to read.

The whole idea is to direct the targeted traffic that is interested in using your products or services to your webpages that promote the products and services they would be likely to use.
