Affiliate Link Cloaking

There are a  lot of scripts and tricks to cloak an affiliate link or any link for that matter, but I like to use domain forwarding for my affiliate links.

Forwarding just might be the hardest working domain bargain online. Domain forwarding will allow you to put any domain name to work. It doesn’t matter if you’ve built a site for it or not.

All you have to do is select a domain name, add forwarding, and any visitor who types in that name will be redirected to the existing site you designate.

Forwarding is especially useful if you have a site with a long, complicated address. Most affiliate links fall into this category this is one of the reasons to use domain forwarding to direct your buyers to the affiliate site. Another reason to redirect affiliate your affiliate link is to hide the fact that it is an affiliate link at all.

When you select a domain name to use for an affiliate link you will want to register a domain name that is similar to the affiliate page name or the original affiliate domain name.

Look at the same domain name in a  different top level domain or change the domain name to make it more targeted to your buyers.  Try to keep it simple and use the product or service name in the redirected domain if you can.

Domain forwarding is easy and usually free with most domain services.

You can find low priced domains at Easy Domain Name Service and they come with free domain forwarding .
