It is the end of the month and I just wanted to give you an update on the test I ran with the web site submission program. I don’t think that it did any good or harm for any of my web pages. I did avoid submitting to google.com and yahoo.com, but I ran a program that submitted to 1,000’s of FFA, Directory and smaller search engines sites.

I thought I might pick up some backlinks from the directories  or somebody, but I think I have only picked up a couple of backlinks since the test.

I have  more ideas to test next month so stay tuned for the descriptions and results when I post them.

I am getting picked up by several search engines now. Google.com and Windows Live.com are linking pretty good  for me, but Yahoo.com and Ask.com can hardly tell that his web site is even on the horizon.

I have read that Yahoo.com requires more content than most of the other search engines. I am a little concerned about this, and I am going to do a little bit more research to figure out what type of SEO Tactics will work with them.

I am going to run a mass submission to a ton of smaller search engines and see if that helps my SEO or causes more problems for my SEO. I will be sure to exclude Google.com and Live.com when I make the submission.

Building WordPress Blogs is a great platform to use for blogging, but with a little work you can set WordPress to be a directory site, a membership site , even a mini-site.

You just have to be a little bit creative in your set up.  Wordpress is overbuilt for most basic applications, so you are basically stripping it down to the modules that you need to use.
